Pregnancy
Dzejmica was confirmed pregnant via ultrasound to the impressive Tango Suny Day’s. The vet immediately spotted six embryos and predicted a large litter—and he was right! Dzejmica delivered 12 gorgeous puppies: four males and eight females. Despite carrying such a big litter, she never missed a beat. She stayed active, social, and unfazed, with her only change being a healthy weight gain. She truly took pregnancy in stride.
Delivery Day
When the big day arrived, Dzejmica showed us right away that she was ready. Late in the evening, she began to seem a little restless—pacing, circling her whelping area, and giving Angel those knowing looks that said, “It’s time.” Shortly after, her first contractions started, and from that point on, everything moved quickly and smoothly.
Unlike many first-time mothers, Dzejmica seemed completely confident in what she was doing. Once the first puppy arrived, she instinctively got to work—cleaning, tending, and making sure each one was breathing and moving. Then, almost without pause, she moved on to the next. The puppies came one right after another, and Dzejmica handled each delivery like she’d done it a dozen times before. Angel could hardly keep up with her pace as she delivered puppy after puppy with steady focus and calm determination.
By the early morning hours, she had safely delivered twelve puppies—four males and eight females. It was an incredible sight to see: a brand-new mother staying composed, caring for each pup as if she’d been doing it her whole life. When the last puppy finally arrived, Dzejmica was tired but content, her instincts fully engaged. She made sure everyone was tucked in close, nursing and warm, before finally relaxing beside them.
Since delivery, Dzejmica’s devotion to her puppies has been remarkable. She doesn’t like them out of her sight for even a moment. When Angel cleans her whelping box, she whines and hurries him along, eager to have her babies back. Even when she goes outside for a quick potty break, she rushes right back in and immediately lies down, waiting for her puppies to be returned. Her maternal instinct is strong and unwavering—protective, nurturing, and full of love.
For a first litter, her performance was truly impressive. Dzejmica’s calm energy and natural maternal instinct never wavered, even with such a large litter. She handled the entire experience with the grace and confidence of a seasoned mother, and we couldn’t be more proud of how naturally she embraced motherhood.
Week 1 Update
Hello DKV family!
We’re back with our first weekly update for Dzejmica and her incredible litter of twelve, four handsome males and eight beautiful females. What a house full of blessings!
Mica has been nothing short of phenomenal. She has completely embraced motherhood and is thriving in her role. She’s gentle, patient, and incredibly attentive to her puppies. When she goes outside for a quick potty break, she runs right back in as fast as she can, anxious to be near her babies again. We truly can’t stress enough how wonderful she’s been. Her instincts are exceptional, and it’s clear that she loves her puppies dearly.
Managing a Big Family
All twelve puppies are doing great and growing stronger every day. This litter has definitely kept us on our toes — not because of any health issues, but simply because of the sheer number of puppies. With only eight nipples and twelve hungry mouths to feed, Angel has been working tirelessly around the clock, rotating groups of puppies every two to three hours so that everyone gets their turn.
Angel has never been a big fan of supplementing with formula, so he’s staying true to his natural approach, ensuring every pup gets mama’s milk. It’s been exhausting work, and he still hasn’t had a full night of sleep since the litter arrived. But his dedication to his Rottweilers is unmatched, and Mica’s calm cooperation makes it all worthwhile.
Growth and Development
Naturally, large litters tend to be born smaller in size than smaller litters, simply because there’s only so much space for everyone in mama before birth. Even so, we’re extremely pleased with this litter’s size. They’re impressive little pups; very strong, active, and thriving beautifully.
In a few weeks, Angel will be introducing his famous puppy “milkshakes,” and we can already imagine how much these babies are going to enjoy them. It’ll be like a buffet for this big, happy crew.
Life at One Week
Right now, life is all about eating and sleeping. At this age, puppies sleep more than 22 hours a day, only waking to nurse before drifting right back to sleep. It’s peaceful and precious, even if it means we’re catching naps in between rotations ourselves.
Overall, this litter is thriving, and we couldn’t be more pleased with their progress. Mica is an exceptional mother, the puppies are strong and content, and we are so proud of how beautifully this litter is developing.
PUPPY PHOTOS
The puppies’ eyes began to crack open today, so I just had to take a few pictures! It was quite the challenge because these little ones only wanted to nurse and kept sucking on the blanket and our fingers. But I thought you would love to see their sweet faces with their eyes starting to open. Not all of them are fully open yet, but you can see about half!
Week 2 Update
Hello DKV Family!
We’re happy to share another update on Dzejmica and her beautiful litter of twelve — four males and eight females. It’s been a busy couple of weeks, but we’re pleased to report that everything is going perfectly as planned.
After two weeks of rotating the puppies in groups of six every three hours, Angel finally received his first full night of sleep yesterday. That’s right, for the first time since the litter arrived, he actually got a full night’s rest! Dzejmica is now able to care for all twelve puppies at once, and they’ve naturally fallen into their own routine, nursing and rotating beautifully on their own.
Mica continues to be a wonderful mother. She loves her puppies and is incredibly attentive and gentle. When she moves around, she’s so careful to make sure she’s accounting for all twelve little bodies. It’s amazing to watch her instinctively manage such a large family with so much patience and care.
Healthy Appetites and Steady Growth
Their appetites remain strong, and Mica is keeping up with them like a champ. Her own appetite has increased right along with theirs, which is helping her maintain a great milk supply. The puppies are thriving, gaining weight, and looking wonderful.
Peaceful Days and Growing Babies
At this young age, the puppies still spend most of their time sleeping. They’ll continue this restful routine for another couple of weeks before things start to get lively. For now, we’re letting them do exactly what they should be doing — eating, sleeping, and growing.
Their eyes and ears are now open, and it won’t be long before they start to recognize sounds and voices. We can only imagine the fun (and chaos) to come once they realize how to use those little voices of theirs.
Everything is right on track, and we couldn’t be happier with how well both Mica and her puppies are doing.
Week 3 Update
Hello DKV Family!
We’re back with our three week update on Dzejmica and her beautiful litter of twelve — four males and eight females. These puppies are growing fast and keeping their mama very busy. With this many mouths to feed, Mica certainly has her paws full! She’s been doing an amazing job, and her dedication shows in how strong and healthy her babies are.
A Tired but Loving Mama
Mica has really settled into her role as a mother, but this big litter keeps her working around the clock. She loves her puppies deeply and still watches over them constantly, but lately, she’s been sneaking in short naps when she goes outside to potty instead of running straight back in like she did during the first couple of weeks. She’s earned those little breaks, and we can’t blame her — twelve growing puppies is no small task!
First Meals and Messy Faces
This week, Angel began introducing the puppies to their first puppy milkshakes, and they absolutely love them. Feeding time has turned into a full-body experience, with puppies walking right into their bowls and covering themselves from head to toe in food. By the time they’re finished, it’s hard to tell where the milkshakes end and the puppies begin! Mica and the other siblings then spend another ten minutes cleaning each other off, so everyone gets a second helping in the process.
Playtime and Progress
The puppies are becoming more active and curious each day. With twelve littermates, there’s always someone to play with, and their gentle interactions are so fun to watch. Their playtime consists mostly of light pawing, ear nibbling, and tiny attempts at wrestling — it’s soft, slow, and absolutely adorable. They’re starting to discover the joy of movement and company, and their little personalities are beginning to shine.
Photos and What’s Next
Everyone is doing wonderfully, and the litter is thriving. I’ve been a bit under the weather today, so please allow me one more day to get photos taken. I’ll have new pictures of the puppies tomorrow afternoon and will have them online by the end of the day. Thank you all for your patience and understanding.
This litter continues to do beautifully, and Mica remains a devoted, loving mother. We’re so proud of how well they’re developing and can’t wait to share more in the coming weeks.
Week 4 Update
Hello DKV Family!
We’re back with our four week update on Dzejmica and her beautiful litter of twelve — four males and eight females. These puppies are growing fast and becoming quite the handful. It’s been another busy and exciting week in the whelping box!
Growing Strong and Full of Energy
The puppies continue to grow beautifully, filling out with strong bone, broad heads, and rich color. They are healthy, active, and full of energy. Every time Mica steps into the whelping box, she’s immediately greeted by a wave of excitement. She barely makes it halfway in before a group of puppies are already latched on and ready to nurse. With so many little mouths to feed, there’s always a line forming, but Mica handles it all with patience and ease.
Transitioning to Kibble
In addition to nursing, the puppies are now eating softened kibble, and they absolutely love it. We’ve started allowing a little more texture in their food since they quickly grew bored with the smooth milkshakes. They enjoy using their teeth on the slightly softened kibble and seem very proud of their newfound chewing skills. Mealtime is a lively (and messy) affair, but they’re doing great and loving every bite.
Playtime and Personality
The puppies are very playful now and keep each other entertained all day long. Their little interactions are filled with curiosity and personality — pawing, tumbling, and exploring every corner of their space. When they hear us coming, they all gather at the door, whining for attention. We can only pick up two at a time, so the rest eagerly wait their turn for snuggles. They’ve truly become a joyful, social bunch.
Looking Ahead
No photos this week, but we’ll have new pictures coming soon with next week’s five week update. You won’t believe how much they’ve changed by then!
Everything is going perfectly with this litter. Mica continues to be a devoted and patient mother, and her puppies are thriving under her care.
Have a blessed weekend.
Week 5 Update
Hello DKV Family!
We’re back with our five week update on Dzejmica and her beautiful litter of twelve — four males and eight females. These puppies are growing fast and developing wonderfully. Each day brings more personality, more confidence, and a lot more activity in the whelping box!
Growing Bigger Every Day
It’s amazing how much these puppies have changed in just one week. Their bodies are filling out beautifully, showing impressive bone, broad heads, and great overall substance. Their color is rich, and they have that classic Rottweiler presence we love to see. Mica continues to be an incredible mother, patient and attentive, and her puppies are thriving under her care.
Mealtime and Growth
This litter still enjoys nursing on Mica, and she’s happy to oblige, though she’s gradually starting to wean them. They also love their crunchy kibble now and prefer it that way. They no longer want it fully softened — they enjoy using their teeth and proudly crunch away during mealtime. Their appetites are strong, and they’re maintaining excellent condition and growth.
Playtime and Personality
This group is full of life and personality! They spend their days playing, exploring, and keeping each other entertained. It’s nonstop puppy fun from morning until night. When we walk in, they all gather around, eager for attention and cuddles. They’re social, confident, and such a fun bunch to be around.
Videos and Puppy Selections
As a special treat this week, we decided to take videos instead of photos so everyone can enjoy seeing each puppy up close. The videos show each puppy’s unique expression, build, and personality far better than a single snapshot could.
We can officially begin the puppy selection process this week, so if you’re ready, it’s time to start deciding which of these beautiful babies will be yours!
This litter has been such a blessing — big, healthy, and full of personality. Everything is right on track, and we couldn’t be happier with how they’re developing.

Week 6 Update
Hello DKV Family!
We’re moving right along with the puppy selection process for Dzejmica’s beautiful litter of twelve — four males and eight females. With a group this large, selections naturally take a little longer, which is why we began the process early. Thank you all for your patience and enthusiasm. This is an exceptional litter, and every single puppy is turning out beautifully.
Thanksgiving Schedule
With Thanksgiving this week, we will be offline for a few days. We will be hosting Thanksgiving at our home and spending time with family, and we also have deliveries scheduled for our other litter. It’s a very busy holiday week for us, so we appreciate your understanding.
Upcoming Vet Visit
Later this week, the puppies will be heading in for their final veterinary visit. During this appointment, they will receive their complete health exams, final health reports, and their health certificates for travel to their new homes. I will be sending the invoices for their health certificates, most likely tomorrow.
Paperwork Timeline
Following Thanksgiving, on December 1st, I plan to email everyone their purchase contracts. Once you receive your contract, please sign and email it back to me as soon as possible so we can have all paperwork finalized and organized.
Preparing for Puppy Pick-Up
During week seven, I will also be emailing additional information such as food recommendations, general care instructions, and helpful tips so everyone can be fully prepared for their new babies arriving on December 6th. Time is flying by quickly now — we are almost there!
Wishing you and your families a very blessed Thanksgiving,
