Growth Updates 0-8 Weeks
Pregnancy
Herra's pregnancy has been nothing short of remarkable. She exudes happiness and comfort, evident in her ever-increasing appetite. LOL. Italian Stallion X Herra is one of our most proven combinations, and we are thrilled to announce the arrival of their newborn puppies.
Delivery Day
Congratulations! We are thrilled to announce the successful delivery of Herra's latest litter, which combines two of our most proven Rottweiler: Italian Stallion Von Der Korperkraft and Herra Kick Power. This particular combination has continuously yielded outstanding results in the past, and it remains one of our most requested combinations. True to form, Herra has once again produced some truly impressive Rottweiler puppies, reaffirming our belief in this remarkable pairing.
Herra's delivery proceeded very well, taking her usual time to bring her puppies into the world—almost a full 24 hours. With an incredible nine healthy puppies, the lengthy delivery makes complete sense. Herra demonstrated her exceptional maternal instincts throughout the entire process.
This new litter is just as impressive as we anticipated. They are gorgeous, strong, and simply impressive. Both Italian Stallion and Herra come from world-renowned bloodlines, and their puppies are sure to continue this legacy. We feel incredibly blessed to have had the opportunity to experience this proven combination one last time.
Week 1 Update
Hello DKV family! Herra and her nine puppies have been thriving during their first week together. Herra attends to her puppies with remarkable dedication. Typically, we have to monitor puppies every two hours to ensure they are warm and adequately fed. This involves checking their body temperature and helping them nurse. However, with Herra, she is an exceptional mother who instinctively knows how to care for her puppies. From cleaning her puppies to herding them all near her, Herra ensures that her nine babies are always close, warm, and full bellied. We feel fortunate to have such a devoted and attentive mother in Herra, which makes our job significantly easier.
Newborn puppies typically sleep for around 23 hours a day. Yep, you read that correctly. This extensive amount of sleep is crucial for their growth, development, and overall health. As a result, there isn't much to report on their activities during this time. You can rest assure your babies are well take care of by Herra. Even when we must briefly take the puppies away to clean their bedding; Herra immediately wants them back and has no problem expressing her discontent until they are returned. LOL. They are in good hands y’all.
Week 2 Update
Hello DKV family! We are thrilled to provide a two-week update on our Rocky and Herra litter. Herra is doing absolutely amazing! As one of the best mothers here at DKV Rottweilers, we have zero worries when it comes to her care for her puppies. Herra keeps all of her babies clean, always has them close by for warmth, and ensures they are fed and content. Herra’s instinctive care makes our job so much easier, and we feel completely confident in her abilities as a mother.
As you know, this is a repeat breeding. Rocky and Herra is a proven combination and their bloodlines just mix perfectly together, producing exceptional results time and time again. We know what to expect, and as always, we’re seeing amazing results once again. These puppies are beautiful, strong, and thriving, just as we anticipated. While there’s not much to report at this early stage, as the puppies are still sleeping around 23 hours a day, we’re excited to see them developing so well. They’re off to an excellent start, and we couldn’t be happier with what we see so far.
Since the puppies are still too young to regulate their body temperatures, we’ve been handling them as little as possible. This week has been all about allowing the puppies to grow and thrive and allowing Herra to do what she does best. One exciting milestone we’ve just witnessed in the last 24 hours is that the puppies’ eyes have opened, and their ears are beginning to crack open as well. They’ll be fully open in the next day or two. Overall, the entire litter is doing wonderfully, and we’re looking forward to watching them continue to grow. Enjoy the new photos!
Week 3 Update
Hello, DKV family! The puppies are now 3 weeks old, and they are doing wonderfully. As I’ve mentioned before, Herra continues to be one of the best mothers we have here at DKV Rottweilers. She is doing an outstanding job taking care of her babies, keeping them close, warm, well-fed, and clean—definitely something we all appreciate because nobody enjoys a dirty, stinky puppy! LOL. There’s really nothing new to share about Herra, except that she’s the perfect mom, as always.
As for the puppies, all 9 of them are thriving. They are feeding well and growing at a healthy pace. Their ears and eyes have fully opened, and they’re starting to get curious when they hear new sounds. They love being picked up, and Herra seems so proud to show off her babies whenever we do. At this age, their days are mostly filled with eating and sleeping, so not much excitement yet. They’ll start to become more playful with each other at 4 weeks and beyond, but for now, they’re enjoying their peaceful days of rest. We’re letting them sleep as much as they want, as that’s the most important thing for their development right now. See you at the 4-week update!
We will grab some photos later this evening and I will get those posted as soon as possible. Happy Monday!
Week 4 Update
Hello, DKV family! At 4 weeks old, our new litter of puppies is doing wonderfully! They are nursing well from their mama and gaining strength each day. We'll soon begin introducing them to puppy "milkshakes," which are moistened kibble, to help them transition toward solid foods. This process will be gradual to ensure they are comfortable and ready for the next phase of development. They are growing strong and healthy, and we’re excited to watch them continue to thrive over the next few weeks.
The pups are becoming increasingly curious and playful. With nine puppies in the litter, they definitely keep each other entertained, engaging in adorable little play sessions. Their curiosity is blooming as they begin to explore their surroundings. As this is a three-time repeated combination, we know just how perfect these puppies are—they’re showing the same wonderful traits we've seen in previous litters. All in all, they are doing perfectly, and we look forward to giving you another update when they reach 5 weeks old!
Week 5 Update
Hello, DKV family! Herra’s puppies are thriving, and we’re thrilled with how this litter is developing! At five weeks old, they’re really starting to come into their own — each one showing impressive conformation, confident personalities, and a beautiful overall presence. It’s been a joy to watch them grow.
The pups are incredibly social and love spending time with people. We handle them daily, and they absolutely soak up the attention. They’re becoming more playful by the day — interacting with one another, exploring their environment, and really starting to enjoy their toys.
We’ll begin the weaning process next week as they gradually transition to kibble in preparation for going to their new homes. Since this is a repeat breeding — the third time we've done this combination — we know exactly what to expect in terms of temperament, structure, and development. We've personally kept several puppies from this pairing in the past, and as many of you already know, they’ve continued to impress us time and time again.
Today, we’ll be taking updated photos of the litter, and we plan to have all individual photos posted by tomorrow at the latest. We’ll begin the selection process after next week.
✨ Bonus Note:

This weekend, Camacho earned multiple top honors at the AKC Rottweiler Specialty Show, including several First Place wins, Winners Dog, and even Best of Winners! He’s a true testament to the quality of this pairing and a great example of what you can look forward to with this litter.

Week 6 Update
Hello, DKV family! This lively bunch is officially 6 weeks old, and let me tell you—they are so much fun! With a litter this size, there’s never a dull moment. These pups are constantly playing, wrestling, exploring, and occasionally getting into just a bit of mischief. It’s been such a joy watching them grow into brave, curious little adventurers. Nothing seems to phase them—they’re confident, eager to learn, and always up for an adventure.
They’ve now transitioned to eating kibble and will be fully weaned from mama Herra by the end of the week. They’re thriving and growing beautifully!
This Thursday, all puppies will head to the vet for their full health exams and their first round of puppy vaccinations. We’ll be sure to provide an update Thursday evening once we’re back home and settled in. Their final vet visit is scheduled for May 1st. During this visit, all puppies will receive a final health exam, heart check, fecal test, and depending on how they are traveling home, their required USDA health certificates for travel. I will be providing more information on this via email if you are located out of state and need to purchase one.
Looking ahead, next week will be our big week! We’ll be taking their final set of photos this Sunday and officially begin the selection process once they are posted online. We had originally planned to start a few days earlier, but it’s been an especially hectic week for our family, so we’re sticking with our normal schedule and appreciate everyone’s understanding.
As always, we provide weekly written updates and bi-weekly photo updates. If you’re ever not seeing the most recent content on our website, please remember to refresh your page. Sometimes computers cache old data for faster loading, which can prevent the newest updates from showing right away.
I’ll be emailing everyone once the final photos are posted, and again as we begin the selection process—starting with our first pick families.
Wishing you all a blessed week, and thank you for being part of this journey with us
Week 7 Update
Hello DKV family! We’ve officially made it to Week 7, and we couldn’t be more proud of this phenomenal litter. Just like every previous pairing of Italian Stallion and Herra, this repeat breeding has once again produced an exceptional group of puppies—truly impressive across the board.
The consistency in size, structure, and appearance is remarkable. There are absolutely no bad picks in this litter. You could randomly choose a pup and walk away with a top-quality Rottweiler—they're that consistent and special.
The puppies are now fully weaned and eating 100% kibble. They’re fat, chunky, healthy, and thriving. All pups visited the vet this week, and we’re happy to report perfect health checks for every single one—no heart murmurs detected, and everyone received their first round of puppy vaccinations.
They’ll head back to the vet later this week for their final physicals, heart checks, fecal tests, and to receive their official health certificates for travel.
I took new individual photos of each male puppy today, so please enjoy the latest pictures. The selection process will begin this Monday, and once all families have made their picks, we’ll start the official paperwork.
We’re excited to meet everyone next weekend and introduce you to your new DKV Rottweiler. Until then, have a blessed evening and thank you for being part of the DKV family.
