Delivery

Congratulations to our explosive stud, John Wick, and our beautiful female, Freaka. They are the proud parents of one mighty baby boy! Freaka is the last Rottweiler that goes back to foundation Rottweilers from over 20+ years ago.

Week 2 Update

Hello DKV family! Look at this magnificent baby boy! Can you believe he is only 2 weeks old. That’s because he has plenty of food for himself, and no need to share. LOL. Puppies this age will sleep on average 22 to 23 hours a day. Yep, that is correct. These photos were torture for him, he kept falling asleep during the photo shoot.

If you don’t know, Rottweiler puppies are born blind and deaf. It takes two weeks for their eyes to crack and their ears to open. Baby boy’s eyes just opened up, and it is so precious to be able to look into his eyes and have him look back at you. His ears have also just opened, so he is not responding to sound. That’s the best because this is when you will begin to hear any baby barks, if he is unsure about a new sound.

I hope you love the photos. Like I said above, it was hard to keep baby boy awake long enough to take them all. I did take a whole bunch, so you could get a real good look at him. I think he is such a handsome boy.

Week 3 Update

Hello DKV family! Your baby boy is doing perfectly. There is not much to report the first few weeks. A puppy life consists of sleeping for two hours, waking up for about 2 minutes to nurse, falling back to sleep and repeating this cycle for the rest of the day. I think everyone is shocked when they learn puppies sleep 22+ hours a day, but they do. As long as baby boy is doing what he needs to do to grow and be healthy, we do not want to disrupt that! Next week, we will begin to see a little more interest and curiosity. This is when the puppy is able to regulate their own body temperature and begin to wander around the whelping box a little more. Until then, we will allow your baby boy to sleep and stay warm with his mama!

Week 4 Update

Hello, DKV family! We are now on week four. Your baby boy is becoming more independent. We see him exploring further from mama a little more each day. It may not seem like much, but pups normally do not leave their mama’s side the first few weeks, so this shows his growth.

We are focusing on socialization right now and simply getting baby boy used to being picked up. He seems to enjoy being held, and he is such a loveable pup. Everyone is the house has pretty much fallen in love with him.

Baby boy’s appetite is very healthy! He eats, eats, and then eats some more. He has an endless buffet to his disposal and he has no problem using it to his best of his ability. LOL. He is strong, healthy, and so freaking cute!!!

Enjoy the photos below. I also made two videos. Here are the links…

Week 5 Update

Hello, DKV family! Another week has gone by, and baby boy continues to strive. He is becoming so brave and curious. We have introduced toys and he seems to be amazed by them all. Usually, his mama steals the toys away, but he doesn’t seem to mind. Everyone who comes over the house, demands to see baby boy. He is definitely getting his socialization in. LOL.

We are going to start introducing our puppy milkshake this week, so he can begin to start eating kibble. Usually, we introduce our puppy milkshakes earlier, but usually we have a large litter and mamas milk just doesn’t keep the litter full for long enough. That is not the case with this baby boy. He can nurse until he is beyond full. Hopefully, he is willing to try some new food. We will see how it goes! Have a great week!

Week 6 Update

Hello, DKV family! We have made it to week six and baby boy is thriving and handsome as ever. He is such a handsome puppy and we are all so in love with him. He is big and has the most impressive structure. From his head piece to confirmation to bone size, we are just so pleased.

We have introduced some puppy food to baby boy and he loves it. He definitely has an appetite. He eats his puppy food and still goes back to mama for some extra milk. LOL.

Overall, baby boy’s personality is coming through. He is so playful and gentle at the same time. He loves affection and loves to be picked up. I know you and your family are super excited and we are confident you are going to instantly fall in love with him when you meet him. Enjoy the photos and videos below!

Week 7 Update

Hello DKV family! We have made it to week seven and baby boy is almost ready to go to his new home. Baby boy is loved by everyone. He is very affectionate and still loves to be picked up and loved on. He is gentle and calm and just likes to be around people.

Baby boy has an amazing appetite and loves his puppy kibble. You can see he is absolutely solid and very strong. He has such impressive features and bone structure.

Baby boy goes to the vet tomorrow to get all of his health checks and health documents. When we return in the afternoon, we will email you an update and begin sending emails to get him ready for this new home this weekend. We are definitely going to miss this special boy! He is a handsome fella for sure!
