Pregnancy
Dina was confirmed pregnant with our top-producing stud, Italian Stallion Von Der Korperkraft! Her pregnancy was smooth and typical - she had a great appetite and gained plenty of healthy weight over the two months. Dina was extra affectionate, soaking up attention every chance she got. As her due date approached, she slowed down and showed all the signs that puppies were near. She delivered four beautiful, chunky babies—two males and two females.
Delivery Day
The day finally arrived, and Dina began showing signs of discomfort early in the morning. She had light contractions throughout the day, but true labor didn’t begin until later that evening. Once it did, the process was long and demanding. Each of her four puppies came about two hours apart, and every delivery took a lot out of her. These pups were large and healthy, and bringing them into the world required patience, effort, and endurance.
Dina worked hard through each contraction, resting quietly between them while Angel stayed close by for support. Though she was clearly tired, she stayed calm and trusted Angel to guide her through every stage. By the time the third puppy arrived, the exhaustion was visible—she was doing her best but running low on energy. When the fourth puppy finally made its appearance, Dina was completely drained.
After the last pup was born, Dina didn’t have much left to give. She looked to Angel for help, allowing him to take care of cleaning and positioning the puppies while she lay still, recovering from the effort. It was a long night for our girl, and she had earned every bit of rest that followed.
Despite the difficult delivery, Dina handled everything with grace and quiet strength. She gave it her all and brought four big, beautiful puppies safely into the world. We couldn’t be prouder of her, she did an incredible job and showed the heart of a true mother.
Week 1 Update
Hello DKV Family! We’re thrilled to share our first weekly update for Dina and her beautiful litter of four. As you may remember from our delivery announcement, Dina’s whelping was long and challenging, but we’re happy to report that both she and her puppies are doing exceptionally well.
Dina’s Recovery & Motherly Care
After a well-deserved 48 hours of rest, Dina began feeling much better and quickly settled into her new routine. She’s proven to be an incredible mother — attentive, nurturing, and clearly proud of her babies. It’s heartwarming to watch her care for them so gently yet so confidently. Dina has fully embraced her role, keeping her little ones fed, clean, and content.
Healthy, Happy Puppies
These four pups are thriving! They’re strong, healthy, and have the biggest appetites. With only four in the litter, each puppy gets plenty of milk — more than enough to fill their tiny bellies. As a result, they’re growing beautifully and already showing signs of becoming sturdy, chunky babies.
Life in the Whelping Box
The first week is always slow but essential. Right now, the puppies’ lives revolve around eating and sleeping — and eating again! They nurse about every three hours, and feeding sessions can last quite a while, especially since they all seem to enjoy a “second helping.” Their peaceful snoozes and gentle puppy sounds make every sleepless moment worth it.
Behind the Scenes
Angel hasn’t had more than three hours of sleep since Saturday! Alongside this litter, we’ve also been caring for another newborn litter of twelve — a full-time operation that has us rotating puppies hourly with their mother. Needless to say, we’re running on fumes but staying positive and grateful. Thankfully, Dina’s pups are an easy bunch — they eat well, sleep soundly, and are completely content.
Looking Ahead
This weekend, we’ll be sending out emails with more detailed information about the litter and what to expect over the coming weeks. It’s an exciting time as we watch these babies grow and begin to show their personalities.
Thank you all for your patience, support, and excitement. We’re so proud of Dina and her puppies — and we can’t wait to share their journey with you week by week.
Week 2 Update
Hello DKV family!
We’re back with another update on Dina and her beautiful litter of four, two strong boys and two sweet girls. Mama is doing absolutely fantastic. She’s settled completely into her role and is truly enjoying motherhood. Dina is extremely attentive to her babies and doesn’t like to let them out of her sight for even a moment. When it’s time to clean her whelping box, she gets a little anxious until her puppies are safely back beside her. It’s so heartwarming to see how protective and nurturing she’s become.
Growing Fast and Thriving
The puppies are huge! With only four to share all that rich milk, they’re growing quickly and looking wonderfully healthy. They’re truly thriving, happy, chunky, and completely content. At this stage, life is simple for them: eat, sleep, and repeat.
If you didn’t already know, newborn puppies sleep around 22 hours a day, yes, you read that right. These little ones wake up just long enough for a good meal and then drift right back to sleep. It’s a peaceful and important part of their early development, helping them grow strong and steady.
Eyes Beginning to Open
One of the most exciting milestones is happening now, their eyes are starting to crack open. Puppies are born with their eyes and ears sealed shut, meaning they can’t see or hear for the first couple of weeks. Watching those tiny eyes begin to peek open is always such a special moment, signaling that they’re becoming more aware of the world around them.
Keeping It Simple
There’s not much else to report this week, and that’s exactly how we like it. Our main focus is keeping the puppies fed, clean, and warm, while they handle the important work of growing and developing. Everything is right on track, and we couldn’t be happier with their progress.
We can’t wait to share next week’s updates as they become more alert and start responding to their surroundings. Stay tuned, things are about to get even more adorable.
Week 3 Update
Hello DKV Family!
It’s hard to believe that Dina’s puppies are already three weeks old. Time is flying by, and these little ones continue to grow and grow — so much that they’re starting to look like tiny bear cubs! Their size, strength, and healthy appetites are impressive, and they’re thriving beautifully under Dina’s loving care.
Big Appetites and Steady Growth
This litter has an incredible appetite, and it shows. Every feeding is full of energy as they nurse with enthusiasm, then drift off into a content nap beside their mom. With only four puppies in the litter, each one gets plenty of milk, and the results speak for themselves — they’re chunky, strong, and full of promise.
Eyes, Ears, and Awareness
Their eyes and ears are now fully open, and they’re beginning to experience the world around them in a whole new way. They’re reacting more to sound and movement, starting to notice when someone enters the room or when Dina shifts beside them. It’s such a sweet stage to witness as their little personalities slowly begin to emerge.
Calm Before the Playful Storm
For now, they still spend most of their time eating, sleeping, and growing. They remain close to their mother, enjoying her warmth and comfort. Next week will bring an exciting change, as week four is usually when puppies begin to play, explore, and act like true little Rottweilers in training.
Everything is right on track, and Dina continues to be the perfect mom. We couldn’t be more pleased with how her puppies are developing and can’t wait to share next week’s milestones as they begin to discover their world.
Week 4 Update
Hello, DKV family!
We’re back with another update on Dina and her beautiful litter of four. Time is flying by, and these puppies are growing fast. They’ve become quite an impressive bunch, already showing strong builds, large heads, beautiful features, and rich color. Their bone substance is outstanding, and their calm, confident temperaments are already showing through. They are truly a joy to have in the whelping box.
Big Appetites and Milkshake Time
These babies can eat! Their appetites are amazing, and they absolutely love their puppy milkshakes. Every feeding time is full of excitement as they crowd around their bowls and enjoy every last drop. With their big appetites and Dina’s continued excellent care, they’re growing beautifully and developing exactly as we’d hoped.
Playtime and Personality
The puppies are starting to get more playful and curious about the world around them. They don’t really know what to do with toys just yet, but that doesn’t stop them from having fun. They spend time playing with each other, bumping, tumbling, and mouthing one another in their clumsy, adorable way. It’s like watching little bears practice how to be dogs — slow, careful, and incredibly cute. Each day, they’re becoming more coordinated and alert, and their personalities are really beginning to show.
Photos and What’s Next
We have new photos this week so everyone can see how much they’ve grown. Next week will be extra exciting as we begin taking individual photos of each puppy. You’ll start to see their distinct features and expression, and we’re sure you’ll be just as proud of them as we are.
Everything continues to go perfectly with this litter. Dina remains a devoted and patient mother, and her puppies are thriving under her care. We couldn’t be more pleased with their progress and can’t wait to share even more in the coming weeks.
Week 5 Update
Hello DKV Family!
We’re back with another update on Dina and her beautiful litter of four. It’s hard to believe these puppies are already five weeks old! They continue to grow and mature beautifully, and their personalities are beginning to shine through more each day.
Personalities and Temperament
This group has been such a joy. They’re playful and curious, but overall very calm and quiet compared to our other litter. Their gentle nature makes them easy to handle and a true pleasure to be around. They love to be held and soak up every bit of attention they can get. They really do look like giant bear cubs now — strong, thick, and full of substance. We’re extremely impressed with their overall bone structure, wide head size, and heavy build. This is a powerful, beautiful group of puppies, and we couldn’t be happier with how they’re developing.
Mealtime and Nursing
Their appetites remain strong, and they’re now eating softened kibble — about one-third softened — since they’ve discovered how much they enjoy using their teeth. They still nurse from Dina, and we’ll continue to let them as long as she’s willing to allow it. Between nursing and their kibble meals, they’re growing perfectly and maintaining great condition.
Toys and Playtime
We’ve started introducing toys into their area, though for now, they don’t seem too interested. That’s typical at this age — most puppies don’t start caring about toys until the end of week five or early week six. We’ll see how that changes in the coming days. For now, they’re perfectly content playing gently with one another and napping between meals.
Calm and Content
This litter has truly been a breeze to care for. They’re healthy, happy, and calm. A relaxed and well-balanced group that brings such a peaceful energy to the house. Everything is right on track, and we’re so proud of how beautifully they’re growing.
Since we did photos last week, we’ll skip them this week. Expect more photos in next week’s update, and then we’ll begin the puppy selection process, which is always such an exciting time!
Have a blessed weekend.
Week 6 Update
Hello DKV Family!
It’s hard to believe that Dina’s puppies are already six weeks old! Time has flown by, and these beautiful babies continue to impress us more each day. They’ve grown into strong, confident, and well-balanced little Rottweilers who are just a joy to be around.
Playful, Curious, and Calm
The puppies are officially in that fun, playful stage where everything is exciting and worth investigating. They’re becoming more coordinated and active, and their curiosity grows daily. What’s especially impressive about this group is how calm and collected they remain, even during playtime. They’re confident without being overly vocal or busy — just steady, even-tempered puppies with wonderful attitudes.
Mealtime and Growth
Their appetites are still fantastic, and they’re now eating their kibble with only a slight soak. They actually prefer the harder texture and love crunching away during meals. They still nurse from Dina, though she’s beginning to slowly wean them now that they’re eating so well on their own. Their bodies continue to fill out beautifully — strong bone, wide heads, and thick, balanced frames that show the quality of this pairing.
Videos and Puppy Selections
As a special treat this week, we decided to take videos instead of photos so you can enjoy a closer look at each puppy. While they aren’t moving much in the clips, you’ll get a wonderful view of their size, structure, and expression — much more than a still photo can show.
We will also begin the puppy selection process this week, which is always one of the most exciting times for our families. It’s been such a pleasure watching these puppies grow, and we can’t wait for each of you to meet your new family member soon.
This litter has been such a joy — calm, beautiful, and full of personality. Everything is right on track, and we couldn’t be more pleased with how wonderfully they’ve developed.

Week 7 Update
Hello DKV Family!
Congratulations to everyone on officially selecting your puppy! What an exciting milestone. This litter has been absolutely phenomenal from start to finish — truly a special group. There wasn’t a single “bad pick” in the bunch; every puppy in this litter is exceptional, and we couldn’t be more proud of how they’ve developed.
Vet Visit and Health Documents
Tomorrow the puppies will head in for their final veterinary visit. During this appointment, they’ll receive their complete health exams and all the necessary paperwork needed for travel to their new homes. Invoices for the health certificates will be sent later this evening or tomorrow morning. Once we receive their final health certificates from the vet, I will prepare their paperwork and make copies of everything for your records.
Paperwork and Timeline
I plan to send out each puppy’s purchase contract for signing late Monday evening. Once you receive your purchase contract, please sign and email it back as soon as possible. With Thanksgiving right around the corner, my goal is to have all paperwork completed by Tuesday to ensure a smooth and organized process for everyone.
A Final Note
We are so proud of this litter — they’ve been calm, healthy, beautiful, and such a joy to raise. The time has truly flown by, and now they’re just days away from meeting their new families. Thank you all for your patience, kindness, and excitement along the way.
Congratulations again on your new DKV Rottweiler! Only a few more days until your little one is finally home.
